I have enjoyed getting better acquainted with you. I gained some relevant and important insights in our brief work together that have definitely served to further my daily yoga practice. For instance, the work you did with me on arm balances is something I will definitely continue. I appreciate very much your willingness to research asana's and options to meet me needs. You are truly a sincere, gentle and kind man/teacher. Thank you.

You have integrity and compassion and much knowledge to share.
From Leslie Morris Director of the Northside Learning Center” (Chattanooga, Tennessee.)
For the new yoga student, or those who have tried numerous classes, the experience of a class taught by Alec Aakesson is enchanting. His approach seeks the perfection of alignment for each individual in a patient, intentional way. He stresses awareness and individual achievement for the pose at hand over a more hurried approach, where you are constantly thinking of what you need to be doing next. It is very liberating to be able concentrate on the moment rather than mentally jumping ahead to what is coming.
Alec's decades of study and practice of yoga make him a wonderful teacher, who, like any true expert in his or her field, is so knowledgable that he can take the complex and make it sound simple. It's a real gift.
His is an extraordinary class that is challenging and peaceful. I can't think of anything else that could achieve both at the same time.
